After a horrible day of traffic and fires on the M62 on a bank holiday Friday, our u10's and u11's managed to travel over to Rochdale to play their Keira Walsh development teams.
Our U10's were short on players but with some help from U9's and some new u10 players we managed to get the game played. The u10's played some amazing football with some quick footwork and skills on show. Was great to watch. Their challenge was to keep the ball and move it across the pitch which they did very well. We scored some lovely's goals and was good to see some fantastic teamwork on show.
Our u11's game was an evenly matched game from both teams. With Rochdale playing their U12's team, our u11's were not scared to take on the challenge and be more physical, to which they did very well. We were struggling to move the ball around the pitch we normal do due to Rochdale's players reading the game very well. After a few changes with subs and formation at half time, we played 10 times better in the second half and we were able to play how we play. The girls showed a real togetherness and team sprit. Also a cracking top bins strike from one of of players.
