A number of UFSA teams were given the opportunity to face Lincoln City in order to build match experience against a great outfit. The U9's, U10's, U14's & U15's were all given the call to compete against their respective Lincoln sides.
Our U9's & U10's made the trip over to Lincoln to play a mix of Lincoln sides at their age group, as well as given the opportunity the play a higher age group to challenge our girls. Despite the challenge, our girls produced a fantastic team display in each game that left Lincoln coaches full of praise and admiration of the ability of each player involved.
The U9's dominated their game straight from kick off and didn't look like taking their foot off the acceleration at any point. Even with a few new faces in the side, our girls looked like a team that had been playing for years and produced an excellent team display, with a number of fantastic individual goals.
The U10's were faced with a tough challenge in playing against both U10 & U11 Lincoln sides but came out on top with a great overall team performance and strong showing that left Lincoln coaches full of admiration.
The U14's & U15's hosted Lincoln City just before the Christmas break at local non league club Sherburn White Rose FC. Both games produced great moments from both sides in what proved to be a real challenge with a number of players missing for our girls and the weather conditions. In a strong showing, our U14's produced a performance that Lincoln couldn't match and deservedly got the better of Lincoln. However, our U15's just fell short and were edged with Lincoln coming out on top.
